Rirkrit Tiravanija, né en 1961 à Buenos Aires, est un artiste contemporain thaïlandais.
Il vit et travaille entre Berlin, New York et Bangkok (Thaïlande).
En 2004 il reçoit le Prix Hugo Boss.
galleria emi fontana will begin showing rirkrit tiravanija’s thrid solo show on april 2nd. ‘foster, you’re dead’ is
a project in which tiravanija collaborated with designer neil logan and is based on the philip k. dick novel of
the same name. the premise of the short story is about a 1950’s american family who cannot afford a bomb
shelter. the artwork is a site specific installation which mixes this literary plot with reoccurring themes of
cultural exchange and collaboration common in tiravanija’s work. the show will run until may 24th at the milan,
italy based gallery.
